Position Summary: As a Digital Experience Analyst, you'll leverage digital experience and user research to design and recommend incremental improvements to user experience of citizen-facing federal services and enterprise applications. You’ll provide actionable insights to product and program managers. You’ll design solutions to help drive higher user satisfaction and performance. You’ll contribute to strategic communications pieces targeted to application teams. You’ll be part of a dynamic and innovative team that is raising the bar for digital experience in the federal government.
Responsibilities
Proactively analyze web data and user feedback to monitor website/application results/outcomes
Proactively conduct user research to get additional insight, beyond what can be gleaned from user feedback and web analytics
Collaborate with application subject matter experts and stakeholders to define key performance indicators for their applications, and design web analytics solutions to track performance vs their KPIs
Proactively develop reports and analysis of site performance vs needs/KPIs
Design and recommend incremental improvements to user experience for applications in scope, with the primary intent of driving improved user satisfaction and measurable KPI results
Apply your web design experience to optimize websites/applications to make them more intuitive and deliver business/mission outcomes/KPIs
Provide and modify code samples to app developers
Creation of custom code for deployment within Tag Management System
Estimate level of effort for projects
Develop presentation and report deliverables for leadership
Educate team members on how to interpret the data and formulate actionable, concise reporting and insight
Integral part of analytics launches - attend status meetings, provide accountability on the state of digital implementations
Create technical documentation supporting all of the above
Develop and implement processes and procedures to regularly test and improve online websites/applications
Mentors developers on technical issues and best practices
Qualifications
Secret or higher clearance preferred, but applicant must be willing and able to apply for DOD Secret
An ability to extract key insights from data
Ability to drive projects, prioritize and execute
Proactive and assertive (will help clients evolve their analytics maturity)
4 to 7 years’ minimum internet/web technical experience, including 2 years’ experience performing web analytics
At least 3 years of experience working with Google Analytics, Matomo and tag management systems such as Google Tag Managers Thallium and/or Signal
Bachelor’s degree - Marketing, Economics, Finance, IS or Comp Science, or UI/UX related
Expert in analytics implementation with knowledge of implementation on web, iOS and Android, and video analytics
Experience designing and executing web analytics implementations
Experience in training end users in how to use Google Analytics and set up testing experiments
Demonstrated ability to work independently on standard reporting and analysis common ad-hoc requests
A quick study who is eager to learn and apply new skills
